The world holds so much ugly tragedy, sometimes we need to take a few special minutes to dwell on the good things around us, the good done for us, and the good we can do for others.
And, sitting near a lit tree...which is honestly one of my favorite places in the world to sit. I feel so at peace near a decorated & lit tree.
Oh, I am so excited. Since I'm single - and live with my sister - I get to decorate for fall however I want... So, I show up & work with all that I have, because it is Him that I am working for; not me, not others.
We cannot recognize His voice unless we spend time in His presence - real time listening. But, also obeying.
My experience of anxiety...an opportunity to express my faith greatly. That, even when the anxiety wants to take over, I still praise. I still worship. I. Still. Believe.
"And, then, I remember & embrace that I am deeply loved by the One who also deeply loves those He called me to serve."
But, buildings are not just their foundation. They are also their framing, their walls, their roofs. Rooms and doors; interiors and art. That's what I'm ready for in my life.
This, temporary though it may be, is my haven...not because of my possession of it, but because of His possession of me.
