So, I’m doing this 31 Day Writing Challenge on the theme of Beloved.
And, it’s Friday, so that means it’s time for a Five Minute Friday post.
This week’s Five Minute Friday prompt ties in with something I already wanted to touch on:
NEW
Ready? GO:
Fall TV reminds me it’s time for a fresh start.
Though school is year round (and a new quarter starts next week), work & practicum never break. So, it’s the return of Football & Fall Primetime TV that signals new beginnings to me…and my favorite time of year.
New Beginnings…
I guess that’s something I need right now; or rather, somethings I’m facing.
I wrote a previous FMF post about Goodbyes, where I said goodbyes were just hellos in disguise.
That’s what I’m believing for now:
A recent end of a relationship; new friends & fellowship. A job change; a chance at new ministry opportunities.
You see, God has more for me than settling & going through the motions.
And, He wants to make all things new in my life. Give me beauty instead of ashes, joy from mourning. Praise instead of despair (Isaiah 61:3).
When we read His word, we find He has a lot to say about goodbyes, and a lot to say about new beginnings.
And it is in these new beginnings we find ourselves really beginning to live as the Beloved.
STOP
“…Do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness & streams in the wasteland.”
– Isaiah 43:18-19
Each day can be a new beginning! And God does have more for us than we could ever imagine…..just need a heart willing to take on that adventure. Be blessed in your new beginnings!
