I know it’s Sunday, but it’s been one of those weeks. A lot going on, a bit crazy, and a cold that felt like it was going to drag on forever…So, here I am attempting to contribute to this weekend’s Five Minute Friday.
the theme is First
Ready? GO
Tomorrow starts the first week of the rest of my life…
That might sound a little dramatic (and no, there’s no guy involved…unless my path crosses one this week…)
I mean, after all, couldn’t every week, any day, be the first of the rest of your life?
Maybe, but, in this case, it is.
I passed my exam, I am officially able to do therapy under supervision. The job I have been working towards basically my whole life.
So, this really is.
My first clients outside of school.
My first job as a “contract therapist”.
My first supervisor that isn’t connected with my school or invested in my grades as well as my success as a therapist.
My first time feeling like other therapists really are my colleagues, not just my teachers/mentors.
Sure, I’ve been doing rehab services & groups as a Case Manager, but that’s not where my heart is, nor is it where I wanted my career to stay.
So, this is it.
The first week of the rest of my life.
And, I can’t wait to see what God does as I move forward!
STOP
Congrats on the first week of the rest of your life. I hope your new career goes well and that you will be blessed with success. 😉
