Calm in the Storm

Have you ever sat outside in a thunderstorm?

They can be beautiful.

The thunder. The lightning. The sky.

It’s like a light show from heaven.

At the same time – there are certain dangers in storms.

I honestly love rainy & stormy weather. I really do.

But, in the midst of it all, I always enjoy having a safe place to ride out the storms. Especially the dangerous ones…

Life is the same way…

It can be beautiful.

It’s a story from heaven.

At the same time – there are dangers in this life.

And, in the midst of it all, He is my refuge & my home.

When life’s waves threaten to crush me and wash me away, I know my hope is in Him to keep me safe in the midst of it all.

And, in that, I find beauty once again.

“In that day the Branch of the Lord will be beautiful & glorious…Over everything the glory will be a canopy. It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge & hiding place from the storm & rain.”
