Equipping the Called

I have a lot of new things going on in my life.

As I face a new promotion (which I am both excited and nervous about), I also face a new experience in my practicum.

I know I am walking into things that are going to be great for me: they will stretch me, grow me, bring me closer to what I want my life to look like.

But, right now, before it all starts, I wonder: can I do it all? Will I be able to settle in? Will I learn what I need to learn quickly enough? Do I have all the skills to do this?

Obviously, someone thinks I can/am/will.

And, what I know from Paul is that as long as Christ is with me, I will be able to do this. He will give me all that I need, & when I feel I have no strength or feel exhausted, He will be my strength.

Because, as I have learned over the years, often, God doesn’t call the equipped, but rather, equips the called.

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
– Philippians 4:13
