Shanda Oakley over at A Pause on the Path is hosting a Best of 2011 Blog Hop. I was thinking about my blog over the course of this year.
Though I started Agapetos in 2010, I didn’t write much and I didn’t have many followers. Over the course of this year, though, I found a renewed passion to share my heart with the world: to remind others that they are the Agapetos (Beloved) of God & to connect with others so no one has to walk alone. At least, that is my hope with the blog.
When I began writing on here over a year ago, I didn’t know what direction I would take. I didn’t know what to write about, I just wanted to start writing.
Now, over the course of 2011, I have honed those desires to write and poured out my heart about the Love, Grace, and Mercy of God over each area of my life.
In reaching out to other blogging communities that seek to do the same, I came across another blog-hop: Confessions of a 20-something over at Ally Spotts’ blog. It was (and is) a beautiful reminder that none of us are perfect and we’re all just trying to figure out this crazy life in this time of being young 20-somethings.
My blog post for that has been my most viewed receiving 160 just since September.
My Confession? [Sometimes] I still believe the lies…
There are many things I have believed about myself over the years, many of which are lies from the enemy. Now, I know the truth and I share that truth with others. But, when I get honest with myself, I know sometimes those lies sneak back in.
Now, I have devoted my life to sharing truth with hurting girls and young women. And, I’m starting right here at Agapetos.
2012 will be more of the same. A safe place to share the truth. I hope to see many of you back here so that we can walk this journey together, encouraging one another to walk in the truth that
We are the Beloved, and we are Free.
I pray blessings over you and your families as you begin a new year full of promise.
It has taken me till now, and I am still working on it, to define what I really want my blog to be about! Happy New Year.
