Generally, these posts are about the beauty I see daily…or each week…or whenever GOD reveals it to me or allows me to experience it. This week’s beauty is a little different:
The most BEAUTIFUL GIFT of all:
“the Lord Himself will give you a sign:
The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son,
and will call Him Immanuel (God with Us)…”
~Isaiah 7:14
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is born
and the government shall rest upon His shoulders
and He shall be called…
*Wonderful Counselor*
*Mighty GOD*
*Everlasting Father*
*Prince of Peace*
…
He will reign on David’s throne
establishing and upholding it with
Justice & Righteousness
from that time on and forever…”
~Isaiah 9:6&7
But…
This is only the beginning of the Beautiful Gift…
“He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him,
nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him.
He was despised and rejected by others,
A man of suffering and familiar with pain…”
~Isiah 53:2&3

And made intercession for the transgressors”

And this is the MOST BEAUTIFUL GIFT of all…
That my Savior and God would become a baby in the most humiliating way
Live a lonely life, despised and rejected
And then die in a humiliating way…
JUST FOR ME!

He did this for you too!
I have a hard time separating this season from the event that ended Christs’ time here on Earth. At this time of year, do you also thank Him for the Salvation that came roughly 33 years after the birth we celebrate? I can’t help but think of one when I think of the other. What about you?
