The prompt given over at Finding the Grace Within for today is humility.
As I think about what humility has to do with being God’s Agapetos, I am reminded of something my therapist recently shared with me (a saying she had heard from somewhere):
“Humility is not thinking less of yourself; but, rather, thinking less about yourself.” – ?
That’s it, really. It’s not so much that we put ourselves down vs. holding ourselves up high.
It’s about thinking less about ourselves and thinking more about Him, more about others.
What humility really does is take the focus off of ourselves & places our minds outside of ourselves.
” Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
– James 4:10
